Self Reflection

These portraits, based on a collection of reference photos, investigate the concept of performative self versus true self. They directly compare what lives inside each of us in the most undiluted sense to how we present ourselves to the world. These portraits are made to contrast each other both in color and meaning, and serve as an opportunity for audiences to reflect on what kind of 'self' they express in social settings, and how that changes both with time and place.
